The wait is over…it’s Book Launch time!

The official launch, that is. FORTY & OUT was previewed at Killer Nashville in August, and it’s been available online for several weeks, but now it’s time for The Event:

Saturday, September 27th – 3 p.m.
Barnes & Noble
2720 Towne Drive, Beavercreek, OH
(across from the Mall at Fairfield Commons)

After telling me their book events don’t draw much of a crowd, the B&N Community Business Development Manager (half-jokingly?) pointed out that a recent signing by sci-fi author John Scalzi had an audience of about thirty. “So we’ll set up ten chairs for you.”

I have no delusions of attracting more people than Scalzi, but ten?! I hope you’ll help me show B&N that mystery fans are just as dedicated – if not more so! – than sci-fi readers.

Plus it will be fun! I’ll read a bit from FORTY & OUT, talk about the long, strange journey the story took to reach publication, and answer questions. Rumor has it there may be prizes, too.

Hope to see you there!

  2. Hey Cyndi! I’m so hoping you get a big crowd! I just found out that my boss approved my request to leave work early that day so I can make the launch at B&N, so I should be there! Looking forward to celebrating with you!
